About the Role

Drumchapel Citizens Advice Bureau is recruiting an Assistant Project Coordinator to support our Voices of Our Community project.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a pilot project aimed at improving access to advice services for ethnic minority communities who face language barriers. The project is built around a volunteer-led model, where multilingual volunteers provide interpreting support to help clients fully engage with CAB advisers.

The role will focus on recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteer interpreters, ensuring they are effectively matched to appointments and supported in their role. You will also support volunteers who wish to progress into adviser roles and assist in facilitating a community steering group to help shape inclusive service delivery.

This role supports access to advice but does not involve delivering advice directly to clients.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and committed to inclusion.

You will have:

  • Experience of administrative or project support
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records

Experience of working with volunteers or within the voluntary or community sector would be beneficial.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative, community-led project that aims to reduce barriers and improve access to advice services.

You will play a key role in supporting volunteers, strengthening community connections, and helping ensure our services are accessible and inclusive.
