Benefit and Welfare Training

In recent years, we’ve witnessed the biggest overhaul of the social security system since its inception, not least with the introduction of Universal Credit but also a total reworking of sickness and disability benefits, changes to tax credits and the devolution of some benefits to the Scottish Government.   It can be difficult for claimants who are often vulnerable due to ill-health or disability to know their rights and what they could be entitled to so they will often turn to external organisations for advice and support.  But it’s important that the right advice is given and this can be challenging due to the complexities of the social security system.

We can provide training on welfare benefits tailored to your organisation’s needs, giving you the specialist knowledge to best support your service users. Delivered by a welfare rights worker with ten years’ experience and with training materials provided, we offer full and half day sessions costing £500 and £250 respectively.  There’s also a 10% discount for each additional block booking.
